Educational Workshops

Healthcare Liaison offers a range of workshops, both for professionals in the field of Healthcare Advocacy as well as for the general public. Our series “Becoming a Healthcare Advocate” and “Solving the Puzzle: An Advanced Workshop for Healthcare Advocates” is offered during the year at various locations nationwide. We are an approved provider of CEs for nurses nationwide and physical therapists, LCSWs and MFTs in California. In addition, we offer a series of workshops on “Becoming Your Own Advocate: a Public Workshop” for the general public.

Becoming a Healthcare Advocate
11 Steps to a New Career in Healthcare

This workshop is an introduction to the skills and knowledge bases that are necessary to be an effective healthcare advocate. It is open to both the general public and medical professionals. It is also the introductory step for those considering the full credentialing program through Healthcare Liaison.

11 CEs provided through Wild Iris Medical Education, Inc., an accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.

Solving the Puzzle
An Advanced Workshop for Healthcare Advocates

Already know some advocacy skills and want to expand them? This workshop
is an exciting one-day presentation of healthcare advocacy skills for the
the general public and for healthcare professionals.

This course is approved for 6 CEs for nurses and physical therapists. Wild Iris Medical Education, Inc (CBRN Provider #12300) is approved as a provider of continuing education for RNs, LVNs, and respiratory therapists by the California Board of Registered Nursing. For CA PTs: Wild Iris Medical Education, Inc. is a Continuing Competency Approval Agency recognized by the Physical Therapy Board of California.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 14 or more days prior to the 1st day of the scheduled event will qualify for a full refund of the event registration fee less a $50 administration fee. No refund of the event registration fee will be issued for cancellations made less than 14 days from the 1st day of the scheduled event. We strongly recommend you purchase personal travel insurance when you register.

All cancellations must be made in writing and sent to joanna@healthcareliaison.com in accordance with the terms and conditions contained herein. Healthcare Liaison, Inc. reserves the right to cancel the scheduled event at any time with reasonable notice to all participants. If a scheduled event is cancelled, refunds will be paid in full or you may reschedule attendance in the next available scheduled event. In the event of a cancellation, Healthcare Liaison, Inc. is not responsible for, among other things, non-refundable airfares, other airfare penalties, or travel charges you may incur.
